CSM is widely known for organizing music festivals as such as Dubai Desert Rock Festival, Desert Rhythm, Urban Desert and their new Back 2 School for kids under 18. However, as the 9-year-old entertainment company’s name indicates, they also have a foot in music management.
Nervecell is now their second management deal after rock band Juliana Down, also from the UAE. “We strongly believe in our bands’ potentials, and not only do we offer them a platform to showcase their talent at our events, but we also encourage them to tour outside the country and manage them. We are proud to have joined the Nervecell team and we will push them beyond their boundaries” explains the Executive Vice-President of CSM.
Who are they?
Nervecell emerged early in the year 2000 delivering a powerful unique mixture of death metal & thrash metal. Known to many as the metal veterans of the scene in the Middle East, Nervecell have proven over the years to be the most potential metal outfit in the region.
Following the success of the first demo ‘Vastlands Of Abomination’ in 2003, the band hit the studio to record their debut EP ‘Human Chaos’ in summer of 2004.
In February 2007 they headlined Egypt Metal Festival 2007 and soon after embarked on a full headline 'Road Rage' tour in March/April 2007 in Australia culminating with the headline spot in 3-day Metalstock Festival 2007. After the successful Australian headlining tour, the band was then asked to play Metalcamp Festival 2007 in Tolmin, Slovenia, before performing in their home-country, for the second time, at Dubai Desert Rock Festival.
They have played alongside Korn, Machine Head, Killswitch Engage, As I Lay Dying, Motor Head, Sepultura, Kreator, Immortal, Blind Guardian, Cradle of Filth and many others.
Their album
Nervecell’s album “Preaching Venom” (featuring PSYCROPTIC's drummer David Haley) was released a month after their performance at Dubai Desert Rock Festival, on April 1st 2008. The album is mixed by the acclaimed producers Wojtek and Slawek Wieslawscy (VADER, DECAPITATED, HATE) at Hertz Studio in Poland and mastered by the infamous Alan Douches at West West Side Music (SEPULTURA, SUFFOCATION, UNEARTH) in New Windsor, New York.
